dantarbill
This is kinda related to the previous PSYN II question... I have a large number of legacy projects that use the ancient DXi plugin DR-008 from Fxpansion. Is there a way to get this to run in the current (64 bit) Sonar 2025? I'm not sure that it's a registry issue, since I'm seeing this all over in my registry. The way it works is weird and kinda hinky...but it's a hard dependency in a lot of projects. Xoo
Yes, but tricky. DR-008 is actually a 32 bit VST wrapped in a VST-DX adapter, so if you add the DR-008 folder to the VST scan path, Sonar's internal 32-64 bit VST bridge will pick it up and you can use it. Xoo Posted yesterday at 08:13 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:13 AM Note this won't mean existing projects that use DR-008 will open correctly (there's no DX->VST migration that happens) - I've ended up using an old SONAR Platinum 32 bit to open these projects, then save a DR-008 preset and then reinsert it into a new project in 64 bit SONAR/CbB/Sonar when I've really wanted to (I've now moved away from it - it was a damn fine plug-in though).
