Sven
This is probably something not worth doing if it's too difficult. I have a 3 verse song that uses an ezDrummer MIDI drum track. The song is basically finished with 30 tracks but I'd like to hear quickly what the song might sound like with an additional verse without re-recording everything. Ideally, I would copy all 30 tracks for verse 1 from the first MIDI downbeat to the last MIDI beat in verse 1 and paste it right after moving everything else in the song to the right. I wouldn't expect this 'splice' to sound great but I could quickly get the idea of whether I liked the additional verse idea or not. Thanks. chuckebaby
What your looking for is Ripple editing. Select "Ripple Edit All" from the drop down menu.
Kalle Rantaaho
I would bounce the song on a stereo track inside the same project, then do the same to the additional verse and position it in the right place. That way there's no risk at all of messing the original project in any way. Then, if you like the result you can go the whole ripple editing route of all 30 tracks.
