In the products page Amplitube MAX was with the small icon related to the promotion.

Since this turned from happiness to frustration, I'm seriously considering returning the software and getting my money back :(

I'd contact customer support.

I agree it seems confusing as it clearly states non-upgrade versions are excluded, but if you scroll down to see qualifying Amplitube 5 titles, it seems like the full version is included.  (but still think ToneX One was the way to go on this deal (but do your own research to make sure the tier would be of value to you )

I've sent them a message this morning. I don't know how long they might take to answer.

Customer Support is always an Incognito in all companies. In some, the department is always really busy, and basically slave their workers, some are quite good and treat their workers right, and are able to answer quickly. I don't know how IK is, but might be that with the number of sales happening, they are busier than usual.

I'm sure they are busy with the massive influx of sales/support going on right now.

You can see earlier in the thread I opened a ticket because I registered a pedal and didn't get the group buy (this was before hardware was part of the GB).  I got a fairly prompt response that hardware was not included.   Well, within 2 days they updated the policy to include hardware so I opened another ticket.  They responded within a day on that one.  Of course, I bought in early and I'm sure the ticket volume has exploded due to the number of participants.

That bundle is 129.99 so you qualified at 129.99 for the Group Buy.  It is a specific SKU in our system and at dealers and that is the price point for it so what you purchased is qualifying you for 32 more free choices of equal or lesser value.  It seems this is precisely in line with the terms of the Group Buy.

Yeah... I've just checked the EULA and and some Laws related to that. It's not possible to return it.

No wonder why Piracy is on the rise again. 😒

There really aren't many software items that are excluded at that price point. Sure,  the bundles like TRacks6Pro are out of reach, but you still have a ton of stuff to play with.

I think this is more about utter confusion from consumers about what things are worth when it comes to the Group Buy.

So Amplitube 5 Max v2 is $299 on IK site. Tonex Max is $299 on IK site. But on another site you can get both for $129 - a bundle that is not offered on the IK site as far as I can tell. A customer would be reasonably expecting that getting both of these bundled together would put them in the $199 tier. This should be a  no-brainer from IK to just honor that bundle at $199. Considering I qualified and bought Tonex for $30 at Plugin Boutique and qualified for that price tier.

This whole audio industry is just begging for consumer protection agencies to step in and enforce pricing laws. Nobody has a clue what any of this stuff is worth anymore. And this is from an anarchist lol.

I don't think the PB purchases at $29 counted or qualified. (I may be wrong).

It does (or at least, it did work for me). I bought Tonex on PB and got into the $199 tier. Then I also bought the piano from APD and also got into the $99 tier.

Sounds like you wasted $99.

At the $199 tier you basically could get everything offered in the group buy (more or less), by selecting the "upgrade" or full version (depending on what is offered to you) for all the major software packages (Amplitube, T-Racks, Modo Drum, Modo Bass, Hammond, Miroslav, Sampletank, ARC, Then there are 13 Tonex Tone packs to grab, 9 Pianoverse Pianos

I think that is 30 and the GB is at 32 and counting

Maybe Amplitube full version lacks some of the add-ons (as I'm not sure if the GB includes the "v2 or not), I'm not sure since I have everything.   But realistically how many add packs would you need or use when you have TONEX captures you can integrate into Amplitube?  (the answer for me is none other than to pull one up and see how much better TONEX is).  If it doesn't include the V2 stuff, then yes, yo would want to all the "X-Series" pedals.  But the GB will certainly hit the 4 needed for that.

Sorry for the long post now... But I need some opinions from the community.
I still have 24 software I can claim. Considering I have already gotten 8, have ToneX and Amplitube MAX (AND the humble bundle), which ones of the following list would you suggest taking? Which ones do you think are extremely important or unnecessary? Mostly I play guitar but want to have a generalized list of options available.

AMPLITUBE

  • Morley Collection
  • PIANOVERSE
  • Black Diamond B280
  • Hamburg Grand S274
  • Gran Concerto 278

BASS

  • Rick n’ Bass
  • Flame Bass
  • Thunder Bass
  • Japan Bass
  • Horn Bass
  • Rockabilly

SAMPLETANK

  • Terry Bozzio Drum
  • Hugh Padgham Drum
  • Art Deco Piano
  • Alan Parsons Imperial Grand
  • Brandenburg Piano

T-RACKS

  • Dual Spring
  • Prism Reverb
  • Lurssen Mastering EQ
  • Lurssen Mastering Console
  • Triad Chorus
  • Stealth Limiter
  • FAME Studio Reverb
  • Quad Image Multi-Band Stereo Imager

TONEX

  • Boutique Overdrives
  • Hyde Street Amp Locker
  • MESA/Boogie Reference Amps
  • Alex Lifeson Legacy
  • Brown Sound 78/79
  • RedSeven Hybrid100
  • Joe Satriani Amp Vault
  • Metal Gems Collection

MODO DRUM

  • Extreme

Thank you :D

I paid a total of around $55 (30 on PB + 25 on APD) for up to 100 products, so I am quite happy with the deal. So far I have used 62 (2x30+2) free products to get all tonex collections, amplitube with all collections, T-Racks pro + everything not already included (so basically the MAX version), ARC, Lurssen, MODO Bass and MODO Drums. I selected everything carefully to not waste any free slots. With the rest, I will get the pianos and then the SampleTank stuff (in that order, it will not be sufficient to get every single item from the list, I already counted). Apart from Miroslav, I did not have anything from IKM so now I am all set 😀

Yeah, I have to agree. It was the last time I'm buying anything from IK. The problem is not even having all the software or the price I've paid for it, what I find egregious is the lack of information and unwillingness to make things right. If you buy anything and in less than 10 minutes your 'happiness' turned into frustration, that feeling gets to you. I was willing even to buy the MAXGrade pack at one point in time just to have everything, but this experience is making me rethink what I spend my money with :s
