just a warning...  these things are very microphonic.  

If you use them as distance mics, they are decent, even good imo.  But on vocals, which is the main application, they can suffer in this department.  If you lightly tap them, you'll hear ringing.  First time I heard it on a guitar amp, I thought it was the acoustic guitars in the live room somehow being picked up. 

Shame.  

If you get one, I suggest distance micing as much as you can get away with.

That could be a microphonic tube. 5751 tubes aren't expensive like an EF12.
