jesse g
I have been looking for console emulations plugins for a while but I didn't want to be tied to Waves WUP renewal by using NLS. I found Sonimus, A plugin Console emulation plugin company that ha several console emulation plugins and other plugins as well. First let me say, I have NO affiliation with this company at all the company is https://sonimus.com/ Their Console emulation plugins https://sonimus.com/product-category/console-emulations Edited Thursday at 07:49 PM by jesse g

Brian Walton
No fancy UI but Airwindows also has some console emulation options for free. https://www.airwindows.com/category/consoles/ FrontDAW by United Plugins was given away for free at launch and has seen some updates since (basically a saturation plugin with different flavors) Sonimus had a stripped down version of Statson with CM music magazine for over a decade. Quite a few options on the market - and hard to beat some of the PA ones if you get them at a steep discount, especially the 9099 Neve style or 9000J SSL one.
Clint Martin
I have the N console and the older version Britson. Another thing to consider is to mix the song in Harrison Mixbus. I don't use either often. They're kind of like tape sims. Very hard to hear until they make the sound worse.
Quick Math
I have a lot of Sonimus plugins and the console emulations are good to make the sound more 3d-ish if you like that kind of sound. And air windows offers great tools. I have tried some of their console plugins. I kinda forgot the names but, console 0 or purest console with oversampling gave me incredibly great sounds while I don't think it's a particular sound of any console at all. And their Desk 4 with presets you can find on the internet, you can make console sounds too.
