mgustavo
Hi, I'd like to ask for help with an issue with my new computer, since I recorded a music from YouTube. I use an analog mixer with the computer, which helps me record sounds from internet, for example. My UM2 Behringer interface is configured to work at 48 KHz, but Sonar was working at 44.1 KHz and an issue ocurred. So I switched it to 48 KHz and recording was fine. But since then I have to open Windows > Sound Settings window to run Sonar, otherwise it will hang on Opening project / Creating UI toast message. I remember I had an issue with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 HD, which worked at 48 KHz and Windows and Sonar was at 44.1 KHz. That always forced me to reconfigure sample rate at Windows Sound Settings each time I used SVMS. (*) However I'm not able to use it on my new PC and I'll start to use Magix Video Deluxe. Anyhow, if someone could help me it will be much appreciated! Thanks! Edited Wednesday at 07:45 PM by mgustavo
reginaldStjohn
I believe if you use the same audio device for windows sounds as you do for Sonar then they need to be set to the same sample rate. So either have everything set to 48kHz or use the onboard audio for windows and your UM2 just for Sonar or other dedicated apps.
mgustavo Posted yesterday at 05:16 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 05:16 PM reginaldStjohn, thanks for the reply! I'll do some tests on this direction, thanks! I've set Windows, UM2 and Sonar to 44.1 KHz, but that didn't resolve the issue. Also, for some reason UM2 always go back to 48 KHz. (*) I'm using BEHRINGER USB AUDIO 2.8.40 Driver, because ASIO4All didn't work well. Also I can only open its control panel via Sonar Audio preferences.
