Bug: ripple doesn’t move meter changes

I have a project with a number of meter changes.  And tempo changes too.

I engaged  “ripple all” and move some clips over several measures.  The tempos and markers all moved as expected.  But not the meter changes.

The meter changes remained as they were which seems like a bug to me.

I tried it a few times with the same results.

I have a bunch of measures in 4/4 and then a few quick alternating between 6/4 and 4/4, as well as 5/4 and 6/4.  Then back to 4/4.

Somewhere in the middle of that I decide to add several measures.  I engage the ripple all button and pick a clip to slide to the right.  That causes all clips from that point to move along with it, plus markers and tempo changes.  All of that is correctly working.  However the meter changes are not moving as expected.  So all my changes from 4/4 to 5/4 etc remain in place.

Meter changes always need to be on a measure boundary - they don't make sense otherwise.

So unless everything lines up with measure boundaries both before & after the paste, the meter map may not match what you expect.

Also, be mindful of what you're copying pasting... by default, copying/pasting a clip will NOT copy the meter changes with it.

For example:

the meter changes were on the boundaries.  Also there is no copy/paste involved.  This is simply using “ripple all” and dragging a clip to create room.  It works for all the other elements (markers, other clips to the right, tempo) — just not meters.  At least not for me, and not in this example.  As I said I tried it a couple of times.

Next time I will try “insert measures” as I’ve done before, but Ripple All has been so effective and intuitive that I’ve enjoyed using it instead.  I guess I never had the multiple meter changes in the mix.

thanks anyway!
