Ever since you added the feature I hate the space that recent VSTs take up at the top of the list and I never use it.  Additionally, the recent VSTs are displayed by their actual name, not by my custom naming system.  When you have 100s and 100s of VSTs and have them meticulously organized and grouped this is kind of annoying.

I know it's a small thing and also a small amount of space... but would it also be a small thing to add a "do not display recent VSTs" chcekbox somewhere in the preferences?

Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask!  Love you guys, thanks.

There is a way round this if you don't mind registry editing.

Open Regedit

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar\Recently Used Plug-ins

Delete all subkeys (they will look like "{56535454-482D-5574-682D-750000000000}" for example)

Right click on "Recently Used Plug-ins" and choose Permissions

In the Group or user name box, find the user you are logged in as, untick Full Control in the Permissions box and click OK

Hi!  THIS is amazing, thank you so much!!  I couldn't be happier right now to finally get rid of that...

To clarify for anyone else following this, I couldn't untick "allow control" in permissions because it was greyed out, but was able to select "deny control" which overrides "allow control" and worked great!
