gniinto
I'm new to the forum and just started using Cakewalk, and I can't seem to resolve a problem. I connected the "Nektar Impact GX mini" MIDI keyboard to my computer, followed the Cakewalk installation instructions, and launched the program. I opened a Cakewalk project and the keyboard was connected correctly, as you indicated. When I play, the volume sliders move, but I can't hear anything. The keyboard works fine in Ableton Live. rsinger
Have you installed an instrument plugin to generate sound? Is Input Echo enabled?

Right. You need to insert a software synthesizer and direct the MIDI track's output to the soft synth's input and the synth's output to your audio interface or a bus that is output to the interface.
