How can I copy-paste audio from one pad to another?

I want to copy the audio (and the XSampler) from the C5 pad to the C#5 pad pictured below. In the online version of Bandlab, I can do this by holding the alt key and dragging my cursor from one pad to the next. But for some reason, I can't do that in Cakewalk Next. I also can't find any other way to do it other than downloading the audio and importing it back in, which I really don't want to do every time I use the pad controller. Is there another solution?

Hi Lawson,

Thanks for reaching out! Currently Next does not have the ability to copy and paste between pads in the Pad Controller. We're always updating Next so you can certainly expect improvements coming down the line.

For now a possibly helpful tip is if you know you are going to use the same sample on multiple pads try dragging the sample to a separate audio track in Next first. From there you can keep dragging the sample from the audio track into your instances of XSampler. This should at least save you the time of going back to the folder and dragging in the sample over and over again.

Thanks for your post - we'll take it into account for future updates! Let me know if you have any other questions or feedback!

Chris
