You can also click the template file explicitly to save.

I did that several times and am pretty sure that still won't fix the path if you've chosen file type while still in the Projects directory. Once you do that, that's where the file is going to be written.

Thank you, everyone! I appreciate your looking. I did, of course, overwrite the Basic template, which did solve almost all the "new" issues I was having.

@David Baay, 100% to saving in the correct folder;-) Which I did...

There are only two things that are not saving (so far) in my template, which have to do with: All, Custom, Mix, FX, and the IO dialogue box, which comes up blank, regardless of the settings. However, you can still click to reveal my favorite "All".  I always need to see my MIDI track options: input and output, channel, bank, and patches.

And, the ruler: I seldom use the H:M:S:F: ruler. I removed the H:M:S:F ruler from my saved template, but it reappears every time.

Lastly, if you guys see a thread regarding the Contour's Shuttle Pro V2, I have resolved that issue. It was not a Cakewalk issue at all. The Contour Shuttle Pro V2 is a 100%  must-have for me. I am happy to share the Contour Shuttle Pro V2 configuration, along with the two additional files required, or provide help in getting it to work as intended.

Thanks again to all.

Most Respectfully,Shu

I too find the Contour Pro Shuttle a must-have.  I've been using Contour Shuttles since Sonar 1 and have never had a problem using it and transferring programmed keyboard shortcuts from one Sonar version to the next and even to Cakewalk by Bandlab free version.  But the current version of Sonar does not recognize any Shuttle Pro programing, so I have actually had to go back to Sonar Platinum because Cakewalk by Bandlab has been discontinued.   Last year I paid for Sonar when it went on sale but never could use it because ShuttlePro was unusable.

It's great to hear that you have gotten ShuttlePro to work with Sonar.  Please share with me your solution me to the problem.   I would appreciate it very much!  If I can get my ShuttlePro to work with Sonar I would definitely be signing up for the paid Sonar membership.  What do I need to do?

Thanks in advance!      Michael Fanning
