Shortcut keys preventing entry of AAS patch rename

I guess I'm admitting that I've been using way too many synth factory patches, since I'm just now running into this...

I've made changes to an Applied Acoustic Systems synth patch hosted in Sonar.  When I try to use the keyboard to rename the patch, the keys activate the standard Sonar shortcuts instead.

How do you bypass the shortcut behavior so you can type in patch names in the synth UI's editor?

If your synths have the keyboard icon on them, click that and see if it's what you want.
