The workflow was a pig. I went back to using Audiorealism's ADM, which I use for all my 606/808/909 (and drum sampler) needs. $19 seems a real bargain, but the number of "bargains" I've acquired for less than $20 dollars and never used is ridiculous. I highly doubt it 🤣 But I quite like it, especially for $19. Sometimes the different workflows trigger different ideas. It's also interesting to see how they got the sounds with the processing used. It's quite eye opening disabling the entire FX chain for each sound and seeing what the raw samples sound like and then how much each FX alters it. From a learning perspective and from being able to more finely customize the sound it's handy and not something you get with drum samples. Some of the hits sound great out of the box though. I always init the patterns and create from scratch, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of those patterns are decent too. But I've been programming some patterns and then just dragging the MIDI from it, directly into its own track in Cubase and then disable Nepheton's internal sequencer and have Cubase trigger it. It's already inspired the basis for a new track, so for $19 I've already got enough fun out of it 🙂 2 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We jut like to have these things and every DAW comes with these type of drum machines. The reality is we are too fascinated with not having our ideal 808 sound. I have probably thousands of 808 samples from other sources. There is no logical reason to buy for the sound. What does interest me is workflow. I have Drumazon 1 and occasionally will use it and a barebones setup like Drumazon, Arturia Juno 106 and maybe one more vintage synth with minimal use of DAW features .
