Channel strips disappear in console view

I have some instruments in a track folder but when I switch from track to console view, they don't show. I go to the track manager and see that it's unchecked, I check it and then they show up. I try to insert a plug-in and they disappear again. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? Thank you.
