ThexEmperorx
I don't know if this problem is with the Synthesizer of the Sonar application, but basically whenever I close out of a project and open up a new project the sounds of the synth all reset, though all the parameters/numbers are the same. Basically, the T-Force Plus Alpha is a fully-customizable synthesizer with no built-in presets. You have to adjust the various parameters yourself, like wave types, volume, attack, etc. So when I open a save out of a project and open up a new project, even though all my adjustments are still saved, for some reason the sound is the default saw-tooth sound, not my customized sound. It fixes itself when I close out of the Sonar application entirely, and re-open it, so it's not like a devastating problem, it's just an annoyance, to have to always close out of the app in order to open a different project, but does anyone know anything about this bug? David Baay
So I can sort of understand that it imight not be delivered with any factory presets, but you can save your own, right? Are you doing that? Sonar should save and restore the state of the synth regardless but it sounds like the T-Force is not responding correctly to some initialization message it's getting at startup. Try this: - Get a project working correctly by launching Sonar from scratch. - Archive the T-Force track and File > Save Copy As with '- Archived' added to the title. - Verify the current project is still playing as expected. - Browse to the copy of the project, open it, and un-Archive the track. - Does it play the expected patch? A similar thing happens, all the parameters are exactly as I saved it, but for some reason only some of the changes are applied to the sound. I have to load the preset a few times in order for all the adjustments I had saved to update the sound. And once I think it sounds close enough, I close out of Sonar and re open the project, and any parameters that weren't updated in the sound will revert back to it's default, so i can see what still needs changing. I will try out what you said.

How do I archive the track? When I go to file and click save copy as, it saves a copy of the entire project not just one track. When I open the project folder, I see the original cwp file as well as the archived file. When I double click on either of them, it doesn't matter it's the same as the project I first opened, all the sounds still go back to their sawtooth sound. David Baay
Each track has an 'A' button to archive the track that basically tells Sonar not to process it when enabled. If you don't see them, set the Track Control Manager at the top of the track pane to 'All". It can be turned off an on any time the transport is not rolling with no permanent effect. What I'm thinking is that this will cause any initializaitonto be skipped for that track on opening the project which might help determine the cause of T-Force losing its patch settings. ThexEmperorx
Ok, when I archive one of my tracks, and then save a copy of the project, the track that I archived, when I unarchive it in the copy, the sound is what it should be, though all the other tracks that I didn't archive reset back to their default sawtooth sound. ThexEmperorx
Apparantely when I archive the track, all the other tracks I didn't archive loose the patch settings, not just the sound but the settings themselves. And I must have made a change to my project, because when I was about to leave my project to open the copy, it asked me to save and I clicked yes. So now all the other tracks have lost their patch settings entirely. Fortunately I have file versioning. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be working. Basically I click on the most recent version before I archived the track, hit OK, it takes me back to the main menu, but doesn't actually revert the project. The most recent save date is still the same, and when I open it it didn't revert anything.
