cut, copy and paste don't work in piano roll view using the Edit tab commands. Never had a problem with them in CbB. Any solution(s)?

More information needed.

I have been using copy and pasting in the PRV every day without issues.....

in detail here's what's happening:

1. I select Track 4 by left click of 4 creating an orange rectangle around it. OK.

2. go to Views at top left, select Piano Roll View. OK.

3. Left click Select Tool, orange rectangle around it. OK.

4. Using mouse I select 3 MIDI notes in PRV (C4, Bb3, G3) and they change to white indicating they are selected. OK.

5. Left click on Edit tab at top left of screen and select Cut....here's the problem: the 3 MIDI notes change back to purple (color I selected for Track 4). NOT OK. If I remember correctly the notes would normally disappear, I would then select the position to paste them using mouse, I would then select Paste from the Drop Down Edit tab and all would be fine. That is not happening. When I select paste nothing happens, when I select copy nothing happens when i hit Paste.

6. Help.

7. TIA.

EDIT #1 (possible explanation):

The Track 4 I referenced above is from a Project from the old Free CbB  that I copied and pasted into Cakewalk Sonar Projects folder. The Track 4 was also Frozen so I had to unfreeze it to get the cut, copy, paste to work (or, in this case, not work). I think that's the problem because when I try to cut, copy and paste in a Project I started in the new Cakewalk Sonar the cut, copy and paste button work fine.

This should not be a problem. I'm thinking possibly you separately Locked Data on the MIDI clips (not part of Freezing) which would prevent cutting but not copying.
