32 bit Platinum not showing FX bins in old 2007 file

AS mentioneded in your other thread, all versions of SONAR/CbB/Sonar that had an Inspecter should show the FX bins for all plugin types in both places. For tracks you just have to set the Track Control Manager at the top of the tracks pane to All, FX, or Custom with the FX Bins option checked, and the track sized to make room for it.

Edit: I just saw the updates to your other thread. Yes, the exception would be 32-bit DX plugins for which there is no 64-bit wrapper. They would need to be replaced with VSTs or updated 64-bit DX versions.

Here's a screenshot of Platinum 32 bit, the latest version we had. You can see the FX bins is checked in the Track Control Manager. Even if I open up that track fully or maximize it, the FX bins don't show up

And I'm including the problem file, see if you can open it and see if the Inspector shows FX like 8.5 32 bit.

FWIW, yesterday I created a custom FX Rack Track Control Preset that had only the FX Rack Track Control checked (for all types). I don't have any of the plugins or audio for the project, but it seems to me the track headers should have FX Bins.  They don't.

I looked to see if there was something in the strip options and some other places that would cause the FX Bins not to show. I couldn't find anything.

I switched to Console View, and that had FX Bins with placeholders for the plugins.

Next I tried the Advanced Workspace, and the FX Bins showed up.**

If you want to try that on a copy (not the original in case it changes something you don't want changed), feel free to see if that will give you a copy with the FX Bibs showing. I'd also want to preserve the original in case someone else wants to figure out what might be going on.

BTW, when I went to close the project (without saving it), I got an "Are you sure?" warning with something about drum maps having been changed would be lost. Not sure if that's because I don't have any of your plugins so it seems like I changed a lot.

I was going to let others try to help solve this, but with the repeated suggestion that the problem is the check boxes in the Track Control Preset, I thought maybe my observations might be helpful.

**ADDENDUM: I just redid this and then switched to Workspaces = "None." The FX Bins showed up.

Yes I clicked on All in the track view, it opens a window and you choose Track control manager and then you see what my pic shows.  With the track control manager open, it defaults to Custom, since you can't edit All

Right - sorry, misunderstood that.  Did you then select Custom once you'd come out of that edit box.  I had forgotten All wasn't editable, so it should show the FX bins.

Yes you can select Custom or All - same bad result

This is even better than the console view workaround, because it's a real solution. Setting the Workplace as advanced puts the FX bin to the left in the Inspector like 8.5, but selecting None puts the FX bin in the track pane like's it's supposed to be. Thanks for completely solving this. That a good tip to remember when something goes haywire put Workspaces as None
