Plugin Alliance Installation Manager Updated to 1.4.0

Sadly they have also taken away the possibility to download installers by yourself. Frankly, I still prefer to install manually, especially if there is no information in the Installation Manager what has changed on a plugin! There are so many PA updates that I could skip, because they only effect Mac, Apple, other daws or trivialities. But YMMV.

By the way most of the time I just had to download 1 single installer. Now the IM has to update itself, I have to search after the appropriate plugin and the IM has to download and install. Also, it misses a configurable download path.

i didn't realise their plug in's needed updates, say what you like they make rock solid stable plugins'

they updated the alpha compressor (they call it mk 2) but it's essentially the same, but you have to pay for it.

of all the companies that could get away with charging for new plug in's (mk 2's) it would be plugin alliance.

Red light Green light Go . . . , that's what I've been waiting for, I can download and install now and see what gives. If it sux it I'll just have to go back to the old way.

Pretty amazing that it took them that long to add such simple functionality, but good to see it finally there.

Not sure how long it will be though.. seeing how it seems that the intent is to move everything from iZotope, Native Instruments and PA to Native Access..

I guess we'll have to wait and see.
