Could have been the theme music for Top Gear 🙂 hey keith! thanks for listening top gear, yea! those guys are adrenaline junkies too... this is a new mix of this song, so i'm trying to dial in the sweet spot of the rhythms vs the melodies, i try a few new parts, and tweak the drums, and just try different approaches to the mix whenever i re-release something, like this one. it's great with Bandcamp, i can update the wav files anytime, so if i really want to keep working on something, i can. i upload 24 bit 48khz files, so it's as high def as i'm allowed to upload. appreciate the comments

Paul Bush Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I thought as much... after I stopped playing with a live band I sold all my stuff as it was just collecting dust , there´s nothing better than an analogue wah wah you can feel it in yer feet ... cheers paul

bats brew Posted July 16 Author Posted July 16 ok, direct mix question: are the drums a bit too loud in this, or just right? i'm thinking i can take them down a bit. this is a new mix.
bats brew Posted July 18 Author Posted July 18 it's mostly subjective, i know, but i don't want the drums to cover up the instruments, just to give as much punch to the bass and guitars as i can try to blend them together... on certain playback systems, the drums sound perfect to me, but on others, they seem too much. some systems just favor low end, and i'm afraid i might have the drums too 'goosed' for those kinds of system. still learning.
bats brew Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 UPDATED MIX. think i've got the low end dialed in now. https://batsbrew.bandcamp.com/track/silverstone
Andrew Rhodes Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Wow! Fantastic stuff! In my dreams I can play guitar like this! Everything is right - composition, playing, guitar sounds - love it! 1
