daryl1968 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Hi Donny. Solid song and performances. Everything is clean and clear in the mix however the piano is drowning the vocal. It sounds to me that you're not confident in the vocal but you have a really nice voice - bring it forward.

I haven’t really tracked vocals in years, so indeed, I felt a little shaky doing that. I may do them again. I’ll try that adjustment on piano. I had put more effect on it and turned it up slightly for this version.

chuckebaby Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 The thing that impressed me most was this had to have been done using Tape. So there's no.. "Let me go back and fix this one part". (well sure we had "Punch in" but not like today when we needle everything to death by editing and editing. So even though I wasn't that impressed with the song, I can step back and take it for what it is.. A song recorded in the raw elements.
