Triangleman Posted July 3 Posted July 3 https://polyversemusic.com/products/filterverse/ I'm a Polyverse fan and have had Filterverse since it was offered in beta. I liked it initially for the weird fx but now I'm into the whole modulated EQ thing. 1
Xoo Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I've got Supermodal (and Comet) and was looking at Filterverse to get during this sale, but can't work out if I really get anything more with it than I can do closely enough in Supermodal (I've got the demo, and it's cool but...is it worth getting?). Any thoughts about the difference?
Triangleman Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 Hmmm - I tried the Supermodal demo when it came out and didn't bond with it but instantly got on with Filterverse. I think Filterverse has more variety and is more of a multi effect. They do have the same digital filter sound, though. I also got an email for an extra 15% off for having multiple products and I am debating whether to get Supermodal or Comet. I've got plenty of reverbs and I figure maybe Supermodal will be something that I'll own for a few months and then figure out what I like about it. I don't need more plug ins but I don't mind supporting the company.
Xoo Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Ditto with the 15% which is why I'm thinking Filterverse! Comet is nice - I'm never sure when a reverb is a "good" reverb but I find I can get very good unusual and special effects with it (I made an accidental mistake when using it and it made such a good effect, I used it as the basis of an entire song!): https://www.bandlab.com/track/f8db7168a32de81180c300155d60d108_64c77c80efd74f51bf466b2e0d5540d0 1
Xoo Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I succumbed to Filterverse and am already using it in a new ambient-space track to abuse a synth. Watch for it in the Songs section soon!
