Any known Issues with RME drivers and Cakewalk

Windows 11 with an RME interface and ASIO drivers. Loops play perfectly in the Browser, but when they are dropped on a track, they are very distorted or the tempo is speeded up. Loops play ok when opened directly from the parent folder outside of Cakewalk.   Tested with the demo  song  from Cakewalk and it works ok. No issues with my other Daws playing the same loops.
