EZ Drummer Looping

Hello:  I'm using EZ drummer in Sonar. When I find the right drum grove, I select it and drop it into the track in Sonar.  My issue is that it only drops in a tiny groove.  I need to extend it out a long way.  I can grab Groove Clip Looping and drag it to the far right of the screen, but beyond that point, I have to back up the cursor then move it right again...many..many times.  Is there a simpler way to extend the drum track? I tried to copy it, but the new placement does not line up (beat wise) with the previous clip.  Thanks for your help.

each groove clip has a specific length (typically in # of beats or measures), you concatenate the clips, and you should be able to drag that entire length. otherwise you need to set your grid snap to the right value to enable moving them on the grid (or turn it off). you set the clip you drag to groove loop and drag that.

personally, i always just use the standalone app, layout the song with all the goods, then export as audio and as MIDI. drag those files into the Sonar project (most times just the MIDI).

that said - it seems to be working for me. i create the timeline in EZD plugin (open in synth rack) and then select the clips and drag into the MIDI track

alternatively if you want to keep the clips only in EZD, then set the follow host on.

Scott  , use the    - + buttons on the bottom right of the screen to temporarily shrink the project . You should be able to get your entire project showing on the page. Drag it as far as you want in one go then restore your timeline setting with the + button.

I think this will resolve the issue if I understood what you were referring to  ..   ms
