Look, man, at the end of the appointment he said to me, "If you're still within your supplier's return period, see if they'll exchange it for something else." I'm not saying gibberish, other than that's true. You told me so.

Lately, I've been experiencing the following error: Audio Engine Crash, when I start recording (MIDI) or start mixing. But before this happens, the audio starts to crash in some way, and it stops playing and then starts playing again for a very short time, and things like that happen. Honestly, it's super awkward and annoying to work this way, even though everything is set up correctly and I'm working with an audio interface. Is there any solution the community can give me?

Welcome to the forum.
How are you recording MIDI?
Are you using software synthesizers?
Are you using any VST effects or DX effects while recording MIDI or audio?
Some soft synths require a higher buffer to operate without glitches.
Some effects and synths use a lot of computer power and need the higher buffers to avoid problems.
As mentioned, ASIO4All is unnecessary in the 21st century. I think Microsoft's WASAPI driver in exclusive mode will provide better performance in most situations than ASIO4All ever did even in the most favorable conditions.

In any case, knowing how and what you're recording and what other processes are going on at the same time as your recording (VST FX and synths) will give us an idea what can be done to eliminate your recording problems. Specifics such as what synth? What effects? What's your operating system?

You're not giving me any solution anyway. Besides, I was in the wrong forum. This is for songs, not for problem solving. But as I said before, I'm new and had no idea. Now I'd like to know how I can pass this on to someone else.

As a general rule you would send your problem to the support department of the company you believe is the root cause of your problem. You would politely provide them with the following information.

The specification of your PC, CPU, make, model, speed number of cores and threads. The amount of RAM installed. Then details of your audio device, make, model, which driver model is use. Your computers OS release and build.

Your MIDI controller and MIDI interface. What plugins, VSTi or hardware you are tryin to record, with a complete step by step breakdown of how to reproduce the issue.

Infact in a peer to peer forum, like this one, if you genuinely wanted help you would provide that information to the forum members so they knew what they were dealing with.

For all we know you could be running a cheap laptop, with a 1.3GHZ CPU, 2 core 2 thread, with 4 gig RAM, the onboard Realtek sound device, OS must be Win 10 as Sonar can't be installed on anything less.

How about sharing some more information about your computer instead of complaining that you not getting any help?
