Technostica
If it was bankruptcy I suspect it would be formally announced, so maybe a ransomware attack. Edited Sunday at 09:03 PM by Technostica
Amicus717
Their Facebook page is still showing a little bit of activity, and they responded to a request yesterday for clarification on their status -- but only with a copy-and-paste of the website message. I've invested a chunk of money in their libraries, and that just makes me nervous...

I can't imagine a scenario - other than a ransomware attack where they had essentially zero security or fallback protocols - that would take a business website down for a full week. "I'm sorry, we made no sales this week because our website is down." You'd never get a bank loan ever again lol.
Scott R. Garrigus
Sounds like it may have been a data breach. It can definitely take some time to figure these out. Edited Tuesday at 11:58 AM by Scott R. Garrigus

It's not fool proof but that's why I use Paypal for online purchases. I feel like the fewer places that get my info, the better.
Salvatore Sorice
Paypal sounds like a good idea for plugin / software purchases - I'll have to try that going foward! One thing I've ALWAYS done - and highly recommend if your credit card offers it - is to use a Virtual Card number for ANY subscription service. That allows you to set the maximum amount that can be charged, and in the case of those pesky annual subscription charges, you can set the allowed amount to $1 after the first charge. Then when they try to renew, it fails, and they email you, decide if you want to re-up. If you do, just adjust the allowable charge amount so it goes through. 3
