profwacko
I'm working with Audio Snap transient markers to quantize a 9-track project. I've broken it into smaller sections to expedite the learning curve on this. I have reached an impasse where I need to drag some transient markers to the right in the clip because the recorded performance was rushing the tempo, and I have no silence at the end of the clip to place the markers in their correct spots on the timeline. I'm slowing down the audio, so the result will be a longer clip than before. The clip I'm working on is the first 90 seconds of a drum track that is 3+ minutes long. When I drag the right-most clip boundary to the right, it fills in the audio from the track assigned to the clip. Is there some way to extend the clip with silence instead of the existing audio? Or, do I have to do this on the entire track? Also, the reference manual refers to editing a clip's edit filter. How is this accessed? reginaldStjohn
Here is the documentation for the edit filter. It just chooses what you are working on in the track view. http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Tools.03.html You may have to move the whole clip down the timeline if you are running out of clip at the end to shift everything. Also, just a note, modifying the clip length and editing transients may result in artifacts in the resultant audio. Cutting up the clip into smaller sections may result in better fidelity at the cost of more manual editing.
profwacko
RSJ: I've been using Sonar since Sonar 7, and never knew what that gizmo was. Thanks very much! Edited Friday at 07:08 PM by profwacko RSJ not RJS
