Introducing the Sidebar 
Experience a streamlined workflow with the Sidebar, a central hub that provides quick access to contextual information and editing tools for your audio and MIDI clips, project information, and more.
The Sidebar provides two tabs: Inspect and Browse

  • To inspect, click on any audio or MIDI clip, track header, lyric or arranger section
  • View project information by clicking the project title in the main toolbar
  • Shortcut to show/hide the Sidebar: \
  • Note that the Arranger and Lyrics inspectors are now displayed in the Inspect tab
  • Browse provides direct access to BandLab Sounds, with over 170,000 production ready royalty free samples  

Enhanced editing
The Sidebar's inspector provides instant access to clip properties for easy discovery and editing.

  • Audio clips
    • View and Edit clip information
    • New options to view and replace files
  • MIDI clips
    • Adjust velocity and quantize 
  • View Project information
  • Lyrics Inspector
    • Same editor, new ergonomic display!
    • Note that the Lyrics Prompter is still displayed in the bottom panel of the main view 
  • Arranger Inspector
    • Unchanged, except now it displays in the Inspect tab in the right-hand Sidebar
  • Track properties
    • Adjust track name, color, icon and routing options
    • Ample room for sends

Loop Browser enhancements

  • Loop Browser can now be accessed in the Inspector by selecting the Browse tab
  • Added the ability to filter Loops and Shots by key

 

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing an incorrect font to be displayed in the Track Inspector
  • Ensured Arranger Inspector sections are consistently visible
  • Resolved an issue where moving multiple clips via drag selection would incorrectly delete them
  • Fixed a bug causing MIDI notes to appear grayed out after moving the clip's start point
  • Addressed issue where trimming and then looping a MIDI clip could sometimes result in the loss of initial data
  • Corrected an issue where splitting MIDI clips would draw the MIDI content incorrectly
  • Corrected issue of wrong color appearing for some 'play' buttons
  • XSampler
    • Prevented the waveform from drawing on top of time markers in XSampler
    • Fixed a bug where the playhead would appear to sink when audio playback was stopped in XSampler
    • Resolved inconsistent zooming behavior of samples in XSampler when a sample was added while zoomed
