MixBox has been discontinued on iOS and Mac/Windows. It is no longer offered for sale but if you are concerned about ongoing support, we don't plan any further feature updates but if issues emerge we will of course look into them. If you already have MixBox, you should still have access to your the downloads in IK Product Manager.

I bought Mix Box several years ago on sale at $29.99 and thought that was a steal.  OHBOY, what a steal now!!!

Footnote: At one point it was $49.99 with ($99.99 minus a $50.00 Crossgrade coupon).  When it came out, the Sunset Sound Reverb Collection Upgrade for MixBox was an additional $9.99. Not sure if MIXBOX was ever higher than $99.99.

Sucks that IK killed it.  Would have liked to have seen some more modules added.  Oh well... guess it ate too much in the T-RackS sales.  Plenty of other plugs, of course!  And for now it still works, so there's that.

yeah.  i agree.  i am kind of shocked IKM killed it and it had such a short life span: for a supposedly very popular and highly rated product of theirs.  (unless they are making a MixBox 2 which will have Tracks 6 modules in it.)

I doubt it.  Wouldn't make sense to discontinue it and stop selling on there site since they'd get more interest in an upgrade path if they teased a v2.  But we can hope!

Remember getting this free with an audio interface, uninstalled it after trying it, may have been a lite version, don't remember 70 plug ins.

possible reason for uninstalling was the look of the plugins, usually don't bother, awful to look at.

Bitwig 8 track is good though (not as good as Sonar obviously)

The free version was just a teaser.  The full version was something like $300 at one point and then kept going down in price.  Enough modules to be powerful but always felt like a reskinned tracks with reduced control.  Rather powerful though but could be CPU hungry depending on modules used.

I had the full suite of IK  t-racks plugs by that stage, around £85 for 50 plugins, the mixbox ones seemed a bit lame compared to those I thought,

I found I still have them on my computer, only has presets and a few plugins that are selected by the presets, nothing like the full version as you say.

$20 dollars probably a good deal.

I use mixbus. it was a good product. i also picked up the sunset sound modules. what is useful about it is you were able to use t racks modules as well as other stuff, all  in just one slot , and it had its own built in quasi mixer where you control levels. also had side chain for some modules.  this was a good overview of how to use it.
