Import & Play AIFF Tracks

I imported two AIFF tracks to my software and, when I try to play them, there is no audio. There is also no signal showing on the faders. When I clicked the orange button on the track (as if I were going to record), there is no signal showing from the instrument or vocal input, and I can't record on the track.

So far, I have always used WAV files and had no issues. I thought Cakewalk was supposed to work with AIFF, but maybe not?

I think we are going to need more information. 

When you imported the two AIFF tracks do you see waveforms in the track view?  Where are those tracks routed to? Master bus? Where is the master bus routed to?

Plus, it might help if you tell us what audio interface you are using and driver mode/type.

Ahhhh, thank you for asking the right questions! I did not catch that the Master bus was not routed to anything. I don't import tracks very often and did not notice this. I was just about to try converting AIFF to WAV, and that would NOT have solved my problem. Thank you for replying!

No problem. Often it just takes some tracing the routing to find an issue.
