How can this have ever have been $US299.00 when it has just been released.....

In some countries (including Australia), adding a crossed out higher price that a product was never offered for can attract hefty fines.

Try that stunt over here and the ACCC will be all over this.....

This must be allowed in the US.

Note: the $US199.00 looks like the true price.

That's the intro sale price...the regular price is the $299 price.  Nothing fishy or illegal here

Hmmm for some reason I was expecting more than just a collection of flutes from this one. But I’ll keep it in mind in case the right project turns up. The demos sound great!
