Copying effects from one track to another.

Hello! Tell me how to quickly copy several effects from one track to another.

for me - i use the Pro Channel to create presets - and using the FX chain to stack plugins. then just load the presets on each track and tweak as needed. i create them for different instruments, busses, etc. and as i update things i simply save as a new preset or overwrite an existing one, and later if i have a project which would benefit from the updated, i reload it into the project. voila!

Hold control then click/drag any effect from any track effects bin to another track's effect bin. (albeit, you probably have to do one-by-one)

Thank you! I know this option. I need to copy several effects (4-8) at once.

Ok I am following this to see the solution, too. If you do not find a better solution, copying one-at-time at least "works". And its quick, unless you need to do it on a lot of tracks.

While holding CTRL, drag effects individually between FX Racks. Though manual, this preserves settings and is faster than recreating each effect.

Cross-Project Transfer
Use File > Export > Cakewalk Interchange Format (CXF) to transfer tracks with effects between projects, though verify plugin compatibility between systems.

When using duplication/cloning, ensure Clone Effects is enabled in track duplication dialogs. For existing tracks, combine track templates with Copy Special/Paste Special for data transfer.

I know all these ways. It would be nice to be able to drag and drop the entire effects basket onto another track.

Create an FX Chain and put that in any track's bin.

I don't know all the ins and outs of this method, but I quickly made a chain in an audio track with 5 effects, saved it as an FX Chain then inserted that FX Chain Preset in several different audio tracks.

Jeez, I keep forgetting this is the Cakewalk Sonar forum. I don't have that program, so I don't even know if it has that feature.

Try converting the effects added to the rack to "Convert FX Rack Effects to FX Chain", then holding down the "CTRL" key, you can copy the converted FX block to any other track the required number of times, and then extract the effects in other tracks to the standard format of separate effects using the "Extract FX Chain Plugins" function. This is also not done directly in one click, but it will still save you a lot of time and effort in such operations. Try to perform plugin extraction operations on new tracks by selecting several tracks and holding down the "CTRL" key, it is quite possible that it will work, and you will be able to save even more time.

For the Prochannel stuff, save as a preset. Then load that preset into the another track’s Prochannel

For the effects rack/bin, temporarily create a FX chain.  Then Drag the whole FX chain to the other track.  Hold CTRL and drag to copy the FX chain to the other track.  When done, extract the Effect Chain plugins of the source (if copied) and destination.

I know this method. I thought maybe there was an even faster way.
