Annabelle
Every time I use Perfect Space with Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition, I hear crackling in my Scarlet 18I20. Are there any 64-bit plugins that can load .wav files for convolution reverb, without having to rely on photos of the reverb spaces?

Giorgio Gabriel
Hi, maybe try to set a different (maybe higher) latency in Perfect Space: Info, Set latency. This could help. Giorgio
Annabelle
I'm actually looking for an alternative convolution plugin. One that like PerfectSpace can load .wav files that you choose by an "Open" dialog. I had a thread about this where several replies were made, but that thread somehow disappeared when I wanted this one merged with it.
Giorgio Gabriel
You can use REmatrix in the prochannel section. It's a convolution reverb plugin and it is capable of loading wav files. It should be installed on Cbb....

I have Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition with Caketalking, an accessibility software that works with JAWS (Job Access With Speech), a screenreader for the sight challenged. ptheisen
SIR1 is a possibility, but it is 32 bit only and has a fixed latency of 8960 samples. The current version is SIR3, it is 64 bit, zero latency and not too expensive. There are lots of convolution reverbs out there. Another one is Convology XT. The plugin is free and comes with some IRs, but they also hope you will buy some of the IR libraries they sell. If you already have the IRs that you need in wav format, Convology XT can load them and manipulate them in quite a few ways. It is 32 and 64bit, and has low latency and zero latency settings. It has a file browser providing access to any location on your computer. It may work for you.

I have Convology XT, but it's not exactly screenreader accessible, as it uses a version of JUCE that's not compatible with JAWS.

JAWS speaks when icons, buttons and controls are text-based. With graphic-based buttons and controls, like the ones in JUCE-based programs, it's hard to tell what's what, as when you try to assign a familiar "window type", or control type, to an unfamiliar one, the unfamiliar one is usually spoken as "JUCE" followed by an _ and then a series of letters and numbers in the "Window Class" dialog box of JAWS Configuration Manager. Attached is a Microsoft Word document, explaining the names and numbers of the Window Types JAWS recognizes. List of Window Type Codes.doc
mark skinner Posted yesterday at 10:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 10:07 AM Waves just offered a free bundle with a convolution reverb included. No idea if it is Jaws compatable though. Good Luck .. mark
Sidney Earl Goodroe
I have a fellow musician who is blind. He has used JAWS for many years! He recently had someone suggest a reader program called NVDA! It's FREE!! https://www.nvaccess.org/download/ He seems to be very enthusiastic about it! Might be worth a try!

The free Waves reverb (IR-L) has a somewhat newish GUI that appears to be more graphics based, but they also make IR-1 and IR-360. Those two share basically the same GUI and it looks like it hasn't been updated for 20 years, so it may be more text based and may be worth a try. There are demos available. IR-360 (surround) includes IR-1 (stereo). IR-360 is being sold for $35 currently, as is IR-1.

I know this sounds crazy, but Social Security hasn't deposited Disability benefit funds for me since November of last year, and I'm trying to get those reestablished again, which will definitely take a while.
