StuartRAberdein
Hi, I am using Native Instruments Session Percussionist inside Kontakt 7 running in Cakewalk by Bandlab. All software are the latest versions. I have loaded Session Percussionist inside Kontakt into a track in Cakewalk. When the Cakewalk transport is stopped, everything works fine. However I want to record the MIDI output of a Session Percussionist pattern into Cakewalk so that I can edit it. As soon as I start the Cakewalk transport, either playing or recording, it appears to work OK but when I stop the transport, Cakewalk hangs and then crashes. I have tried with the Session Percussionist interface open as well as closed. The same thing happens - Cakewalk hangs and the crashes. After asking Perplexity AI for suggestions I tried: Running Cakewalk as Administrator Increasing the Kontakt pre-load buffer to 120K Using a very simple project with only Session Percussionist in it. None of the above helped. What else can I try? Thanks
StuartRAberdein
UPDATE: I tried it in SONAR Platinum (23.10.0 Build 14 2017, which I think was the last version) and everything worked perfectly. I suppose I could just do what I need to in Platinum and move to CbB when I''m ready, but it would be nice to have it working in CcB.
OutrageProductions
The latest version of Kontakt is 8. Session Percussionist requires v7.7 or later of either Kontakt Full or Player. Works here in that configuration in both CbB & Sonar. You might try posting this issue on the NI forum in the Kontakt sub. StuartRAberdein
Hi. Thanks. I meant the latest version of Kontakt 7 and I do have the full version. I haven't got Kontakt 8 full version, but I'll try 8 Player to see if that works. Thanks.
