Flying Away

Well, folks, it's been a rough year with not much room or inclination for music. I've finally decided that good times or bad, music is essential so I got to work and wrote this. My hearing has degraded a bit more, so I'm quite dependent on the folks here to help me get the sounds right, so thank you in advance for any feedback you can provide.

seems like forever

and when the day came round 
she kicked the door down

Loved the groove in this one.

we all paint different pictures and I would personally  would use a little less verb.

Kevin , your hearing may have degraded some , but your voice sure hasn't !    Great job on the vocals. I love the way you hold notes out without using much vibrato. Very nice guitar tone as well . I thought it fit nicely.   Enjoyed it .     ms

I agree with @mark skinner about your voice, there's some brilliant singing on this. Very minor crits: some of the drum fills seems a little loud to me, and also the lead guitar has a bit of a harsh tone to my ears. But overall I like this very much, one to be proud of 👍

Thanks, Gary, I appreciate your comments. I was thinking that I used too much reverb as well.

Thanks so much for your comments, Mark. Things do come apart as we age and we have to pick our battles. I love all your stuff, btw.

Hey, Keith, thanks for listening and for your crits!. I agree on the drum fills. I was going for a sax-like vibe. My ears don't pick up the harshness, is it in places or is it part of the tone? And while I'm at it I'm not too happy with ithe bass tone either. Thanks again!
