Using MidiKB to control recording

Hi there,

first a sorry to a -I think- redundant question

How can I start, pause,stop, fw, ffw, rw, rrw...
 using my keyboard?

esp.  controlling Track-Selection-UP / DOWN by hitting e.g. B6 or C7 (any keys, anywhere)

It must have been here before... forgive my bad old eyes

If your MIDI controller has those functions you can use ACT to control these actions. It does however require you to teach ACT unless you have a controller for which there is a preset.

In the options for Keybindings, you can add midi control over functions.    

Once in the Keybindings dialog, change from "computer" to "midi" and then select and bind the functions you want to the notes you want.    If you want to also use the keyboard to play those notes from without operating the functions, there's a checkbox to enable ro disable the control function as needed.
