I hate that they don't release legacy versions in natibve format , those stuff are cpu hoggs and the legacy were super efficient already in dsp so they could be superb for native use ....

If you have an Apollo this is a great plugin. I track electric guitars through it with the Unison preamps and it's amazing. I then put it on the guitar track in my DAW. Tracking and mixing through the same console.  It ain't subtle. If you need a scalpel this is a spoon. It's a bucket of paint and that's why I love it. This is a top 5 UAD plugin for me.

I have been using Waves Kramer Helios for years. I just got the UAD version. I haven’t used it long enough to know if I like it better.  I will say that I love the Kramer Helios.  I use it on the bus. Anything I want a little tiny crutch it’s a very sweet pleasant distortion. I just send a little over to the to that bus. The saturation that thing put on the track really pulls it forward in the mix.

Anyone know why UA title this as a 'collection', but is just a single plugin?

I was wondering the same thing, so I headed over to UAD's website, but they also only show one plugin.  Maybe there were different versions like with the 1176?

Because the Preamp and EQ are built into the same plugin.  The preamp is at the top and
is selectable for either "line" or "mic" and then has the gain, and then the EQ section
is down below.

UVI model D is probably worth the 30 dollars.

fao ZO,  UVI model D is one of the free plugins given away at audio deluxe.

I think I've mostly stopped buying UA plugins individually. They always work out so much better in a bundle and they don't really give you any credit for individual plugins, so you just end up buying the same ones in each bundle over and over again in each new bundle. I even passed on the Topline and Manley Mu Limiter the other day for a total of $49 for that reason. That and I already have equivalents in other brands. But I still somewhat thought they might be OK to have.

But I know there will be a bundle for maybe a few hundred more and I'll get a heap of new plugins from my Signature bundle. I skipped Signature 2.

It was fun picking up all the individual ones with voucher stacking when they first dropped in price, but everyone that skipped all that and just bought in at Signature 2 did way better.
