Lunavox
Recently attempted to update to the latest version of Cakewalk and I am getting lots of "regsvr32 failed 0x5" errors on various dll files. Anyone know of any solutions? Things I have tried. 1. Rebooted, retried install 2. Gave installer elevated permissions 3. Removed Cakewalk and attempted fresh install. That typically happens when something externally is blocking the registering of the DirectX plugins. If they've been registered previously, then there's no change to those, and you can just let the rest of the install complete. Otherwise make sure you don't have pending Windows updates or an aggressive antivirus that would otherwise block those files from being able to register with the OS.
