Shortening the end of a track

Hi all,

I have a backing track which for some reason has a long gap of no sound at the end, which I need to trim. But on the DAW there's nothing there, all the recorded tracks have ended. How to do I trim this?

Look for an automation envelope that has a node lurking towards the end of the no sound gap

Select all, then refine the selection by moving the start marker (which is called From) to where you want your song to end.

Enable Ripple Edit.

Edit > Delete Special and select all items, except “Shift by Whole Measures” and click OK

Disable Ripple Edit.
