GodinLG
Hi, I've been trying to use the Arranger Track for a while but it never worked for me. When I recreate a section ex: Intro, Verse, Chorus .. then click on the Arranger Track section ex: Verse, it never selects/highlight the tracks below, it only copies the Header Info. Ex: If the Verse contains multiple tracks with Drums, Vocals, Guitar, Bass , if I click on the Arranger Track section Verse and Duplicate , it only Duplicate the Header of the Verse not the Drums, Vocals, Guitar and Bass .. So I have a Duplicate Verse section but no tracks with it. I looked at a couple of videos and when they click on the Verse Arranger Track section, you can see all the tracks below highlighter , when I click on it no tracks below are highlighted . What am I doing wrong ? Thanks in advance
reginaldStjohn
There is some information here (https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.02.html) That might be of use. Also this tutorial. If i want to duplicate a section i click on the arranger section in the arranger track which then highlights all the tracks under it. I then hold "ctrl" while dragging and it copies all the tracks to the new dragged location along with the arranger header
GodinLG
Thanks for the info. >> If i want to duplicate a section i click on the arranger section in the arranger track which then highlights all the tracks under it. Yes that's exactly the problem, when I click on the Arranger Track section, it does not highlights the tracks under it .. So if I duplicate , it only creates a section with no tracks under it. So not sure if I'm not doing this properly or there's a setting that control this .. It seem fairly straight forward when I look at videos . msmcleod
In order for the Arranger to select tracks, you need "Select Events with Sections" enabled. This can be found the Track View Options menu, or you can enable "Select Events with Sections" button in Select module when it is in large mode. When this is checked, clicking a section will have a toggle effect... i.e. clicking it once will select the tracks underneath, clicking it again will behave as if the option is off. When this is unchecked, it never selects tracks underneath - which is what you're seeing. There is a another why things might not be selected (but unless you're aware of it, this probably isn't your issue)... You can exclude a track from arranger operations within the track inspector. When this is enabled, this track won't be selected with an arranger section: I seriously doubt this is your issue though - it would have to have been checked for all tracks, which is difficult to do accidentally.
