jesse g
Hello Everyone, This is new from Behringer today. Behringer is not calling it a 1073, they are calling it a 1273 in compact form. Today, we pay homage to that iconic studio cornerstone with the Behringer 73, a more compact version of the Behringer 1273. Developed with one of the original engineers, their valuable knowledge and experience ensure that the 73 not only maintains the great sound of the original but also meets the demands of modern production. The 73 is a 1273 in a compact package and shares the same architecture. This makes it great for combining with your favorite EQ or compressor or building a whole array of preamps in one rack. The solid steel chassis gives it durability and provides isolation from other units in your setup. The 1273 includes an electronically controlled, resistor-stepped rotary gain switch that offers up to 80 dB of gain adjustment. This allows you to precisely set optimal input levels with the least amount of noise and is also great for recalling your settings consistently for every mix scenario. Jim Roseberry
I've got the 1273 and the 369 Compressor. Both are very good for the cost.
Alan Tubbs Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM Yea, I went around and around with some Warm pieces. If you use the “real” thing for a while you can hear some anomalies when testing, but basically similar circuits yield similar sonic results. One of the best recordings I ever did was with the wa2a on a female. A beautiful bloom over her performance as I rode the levels. Not having the real thing would have made no difference I believe. on the other hand, I’m hoping to get a vintech clone since it sounds the most “vintage” to my ears. Should compare and contrast well with my portico II Chanel. @
