I would guarantee they have, but agree they shouldn't! I was always amazed where people were buying Plugin Alliance channel strips etc. and then complaining when they were heavily reduced 6-12 months later after they paid full price.

I know often professional studios justify it based on using it in a project immediately and tax deductions, but even then, I'm certain they have more than they ever need and could use any number of alternatives and pick it up down the track.

Blackhole is almost the exception, as it's more unique and I love the plugin. I'd still never pay full price for it though. You could get the H9 bundle for that price at times.

On other forums some will tell you Immersive is better.  If you buy Blackhole there might be a reasonable upgrade price.
