Vs-700 in the new Sonar...

Just curious if anyone using the vs700 set has noticed any problems in the new Sonar release. I am ready to take the plunge from cakewalk by bandlab to the new sonar.

Everything is currently working on my win10 computer fine, after the .inf hack.

Would just like to here from others if possible.

If the hardware is working on your current setup, it should be fine with Sonar (as relative to Cakewalk by BandLab or legacy SONAR versions). Roland hasn't supported them for some time, so troubleshooting anything on them is a bit of a non-starter, but if you've been using it, then it should keep working.

All smooth sailing with my V-Studio 100. The 700 should be fine. And the software update is worth it imo. GL HF!

Thanks to the guys who were able to solve the problem! I was able to install the VS-700 driver on Windows 11! This has been my dream and my pain for several years. And finally, it has happened!!! Now I have to deal with the software installation, but that's just a minor detail))) The new Sonar works with Sonar V-Studio 700 in the same way as it does with previous versions.

Late to the party, but my 700c is working ok with Sonar paid.   My 700r died a few years back.

Alex can you please indicate if the windows 10  VS700 control surface  windows driver hacked worked in windows 11 or is there a windows 11 driver hack that you can share?

Dear Glenville, Only a few lines in one file are changed - *.inf, the rest of the VS-700 software remains unchanged and is easily installed on Win 11.

I have done this to make a PCR-800 work on Windows 10 (there are no official Windows 10 PCR-800 drivers on the Roland website).

It is a line in the .inf installation file which restricts the OS that the drive can be installed to, the hack is change it from Win 8 to Win 10 or 11.
