CBB Activation forcing me to connect to Facebook

I still get a request to use Google (I don’t have Facebook) but my workaround still works.

I installed MailWasher on my Music drive, (it allows me to view my emails on the server instead of downloading) so I can just copy the 2FA code and paste it into the login.  Interesting though, when I went to open CbB it just asked me to log in and did not request the 2FA.

When I contacted support I also asked this:  If I upgrade to the new Sonar, will it still phone home all the time?  Also, if I don't renew my subscription will I still be able to use the program?   and this was their response:   If you upgrade to the new Sonar, it will occasionally check in online to verify your subscription status, but it doesn’t constantly "phone home."  If you decide not to renew your subscription, you’ll still be able to open and access your projects in a read-only mode, but you won’t be able to save or export until you reactivate your membership.

I guess I missed this in the discussions about the new subscription system.

i believe there's an "analytics" option - does that count as phoning home?

I came across this issue myself on my DAW machine:

- Logging into the BandLab website normally offered me 2FA using a code sent to my email address
- Logging into BandLab via Sonar forced me to log in via Facebook.

The way I fixed it:

1.  Manually log into BandLab in a browser, by going to www.bandlab.com and signing in as normal (i.e. outside of Sonar). 
2.  Click on your profile pick
3.  Next to the "promote" button you'll see a pencil icon - click this to edit your profile.
4.  On the left hand side, click "Linked Accounts"
5.  You should now see which accounts are linked - click the remove button for Facebook.

It looks like if you've got a linked account in there, it will use that account for 2FA.

With no accounts linked, it logs in fine with just username/password.
