GTsongwriter Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Doesn't SSL use some known Lock program that requires a dongle?

I reason I ask is that I purchased this, even though a have a sub with it, so I always had an extra around. When the purchase was complete, I looked for the serial and couldn't find it. I opened the iLok manager and it was deposited there.

Note: you do NOT need an iLok USB dongle to use SSL plug-ins. You'll need to create an iLok account and download iLok License Manager in order to use our plug-ins. It's easy to get started. Head over to the iLok website and create an iLok account if your don't have one already: https://ilok.com
Mr No Name Posted February 13 Posted February 13 are people going to bother counterfeiting their software if they only charge $7.99 for it ?

Craig Fowler Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Was surprised to see this dates back to 2008! I am resisting the urge to give in to massive reductions on something I don't need. 4
jgarland Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I purchased but iLok would not recognize it. I contacted SSL and they told me they were having problems with their automatic activation service. They activated it manually for me. The exact same thing happened with a previous SSL purchase.
Fleer Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Yeah, they still haven’t got their process right. And I still have to keep two accounts with them, one for the old plugins and one for the new. Go figure.
Fleer Posted February 15 Posted February 15 So I’m not jumping on this X-Comp, not even for $8. Not worth the headache. 1
Michael Docy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I couldn't resist and grabbed it. I had no problem installing it and it worked fine with ILok 2. It's my second SSL plug, lol.
