andyriggle
Hi All, I have a project with several instrument tracks loaded with different Symphonic orchestra patches, and when I select a track and try to play it on my midi keyboard all the tracks sound with a string patch. I've checked the players and they all have the correct patches loaded and they play correctly on the software player keyboard. Can anyone here help me get the correct instruments to sound when I've selected a track? Thanks for any help, Andy
Promidi
Are the MIDI Channels of the MIDI track of all those instruments tracks set to a MIDI Channel other than “None” What VSTis are you using? A little more information goes a long way. I do this all the time, never had an issue. Edited January 26 by Promidi
Chaps
Every MIDI track needs to have its own MIDI channel and you change the outgoing MIDI channel on your keyboard to choose which MIDI track to play/record on. Is your keyboard sending MIDI Program Change messages? Because that will change the patch on the virtual synths. What Keyboard are you using as a controller?

It's not necessary to set Input channels or controller transmit channels, only the forced output channel ("C" widget in the track/inspector).
