Anthony Bennett
I need to work in H:M:S:Milliseconds In the Event List, I'd dearly love to be able to either customize the timestamp column, or have selectable columns for whatever timestamp formats I want to display, that includes H:M:S:Milliseconds
User 905133
Interesting. Back in the day, I got used to micro-editing MIDI data in ticks. Edited 14 hours ago by User 905133

I used to calculate note timings in terms of ticks (generally number of ticks per note durations with attention to note start time tweaks), but I never correlated frames with ticks--until now. At my current settings (probably the default as I haven't changed them), when I use + and - I am seeing 1 frame = 64 ticks. I got sick of micromanaging timings. Not sure I would want even finer gradations to micro-manage millisecond and sample start intervals, but on a purely theoretical level, it might be interesting to try. Well, maybe not interesting in terms of auditory results, but interesting in terms of being hyper focused (i.e., exploring) time on a microscopic [microsonic?] level. David Baay
Probably more about syncing controller events or cues to real time; ticks are finer resolution than ms at any tempo above 62.5 bpm anyway. Best alternative is to keep the Now time visible in the desired mode. From, Thru and Selection times can be changed to SMPTE in preferences and maybe seconds as well - not sure about that.
