General error on save

Hi. I have a usb controller that whenever I try mapping it to remote control functions, it won't let me save the project stating "general error". I've opened projects and tried other changes then save - no issues. It's only after I assign remote control values to my usb controller. 

Something odd.

Please define “a usb controller”.  Probably need other information as well - like is this “usb controller” also configured as a control surface?
