MichaelJohn Posted yesterday at 03:21 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:21 AM (edited) WHEN THEY BUILT CATHEDRALS It doesn't happen very often when the world is in awe of a rebuilt cathedral. But that's what happened this year with the completion of the restoring of Notre Dame cathedral. Inspiring the world with it's beauty and craftsmanship. So happens I wrote a piece in 2007 about the awesomeness of cathedrals and even posted it here. Inspired by the restoration I felt an urge to restore my original track, with better instruments and better remix. The original was made on my Yamaha (or Roland) keyboard workstation. This remake is all Sample Tank 4 for the first 4 minutes. Then the 2007 track is mixed in with ST4 to the end. First made in 2007 Sonar, restored in CWBL This work is in passacaliga form (a repeating bass line with variations on top). Terry Fry wrote the repeating bass line and asked me to write music on top. Be a little careful as it has a wide dynamic range and deep sub in some sections. Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome. Have a great Christmas, and happy New Year!
