What is the easiest way to do this so there's no delay before the music starts? Thanks

Enable <Ripple Edit>, select all tracks (Ctrl+A), select bar 1 in timeline ruler, Delete. Disable <Ripple Edit>.

Remember, starting your project at measure 1 can cause issues if synths (or even plugins) need to initialise before hitting that first note.
