Richard Hunter
Cakewalk Sonar used to support multiple audio outputs from a single VST. For example, the drums in a drum machine plugin could be sent to different tracks (or so I remember). Is this feature present on Cakewalk by Bandlab? 1 Chaps
I do it all the time with Addictive Drums 2, and have done it with the Kontakt Player.

Is this feature present on Cakewalk by Bandlab? if you're looking to split out the individual drums to different tracks, that depends on the individual vst so for instance with session drummer, it has multiple stereo outs that you can assign different drums to, but si drums only has a single stereo out. the old dr008 drum synth had four stereo outs, iirc. some non-drum synths also have multiple outs, but most are only a single stereo pair. as far as having multiple tracks fed from the output of a synth, you can do that just by creatinga new audio track and setting it's input to the vst output you want then you'll have that track in additon to the regular synth track you already have, but both of them will be *all* of the audio that's on that output, so if you have a synth that only has a single stereo out it's still going to have all the sounds from that synth on boht tracks. 0 msmcleod
Just to clarify: Sonar/CbB supports multiple audio outputs from VSTi' (i.e. soft synths) that have them. Sonar/CbB doesn't support multiple audio outs from VST effects at present - just a single mono or stereo output. This limitation also applies to VSTi synths you add to an effects bin (as opposed to creating an instrument track).

I believe this would explain why Eventides BlackHole Emmersive only provides two outputs when used in Sonar/CbB, even though it is a surround sound reverb. The “at present” in your statement, gives me some hope that one day this might change..... Cantabile 4.0 does indeed show all of BlackHole Emmersive’s plugn outputs. 0 57Gregy
In the Insert Synth options, the ones highlighted in the green box can determine how many tracks the synth will send audio on.
